ERMCO Participates in Habitat for Humanity
ERMCO, led by project manager Donn White, worked with Habitat for Humanity, Park Tudor School, Messer Construction, Clarian Health, and many other local companies and contractors to complete one of the two Habitat House projects located on Central Avenue on the north side of Indianapolis. The house ERMCO was a part of was built for Nicole O'Rea and Earl Wallace and their family. Other ERMCO employees that worked on the house were Michael Otto and Michael Farley, Foreman, Chad Johns, Apprentice, and Mason McKee, Electrician Helper. Wes Taylor, Director of Field Operations also helped with the build.
The keys were presented to the families on November 1st, 2008 in a special home blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony that all who helped to build the homes were invited to. The ceremony included a welcome by Dean Illingworth, head of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis, an A Capella music presentation from three Park Tudor students, and a blessing of the homes. There were also encouraging speeches given by family and friends of the new homeowners, construction sponsors, and local community partners. The day ended with a ribbon cutting at each house and the handing over of the keys to the new home owners.
ERMCO is very proud to have been involved in such a great effort to help those less fortunate in our community.
