The Director of Estimating is required to take a lead role in determining opportunities to be pursued, assign work to estimating staff and oversee progress of estimates, review finished estimates with estimator and help finalize proposals for submittal, while assuring procedures are in conformance with company standards. The Director of Estimating is further required to ensure that maximum effor is put forth to secure the work, both before and after a proposal is submitted.
