The Carmel Performing Arts Center located in Carmel Indiana is intended as the focal point of Carmel City Center, a new Mixed-use development which will serve as the new town center for Carmel. The Performing Arts Center will be a 154,000 square foot 1600 seat concert hall, and will support all forms of classical music. It will also accommodate various other forms of acoustic and amplified concerts and operatic performances.

This project offers numerous construction challenges all centered on maintaining the center’s acoustic values. With numerous interior elevation changes and high dome ceilings coordination with all trades has been paramount.

The project has incorporated the use of (BIM) or 3D modeling as the main form of coordinating the installation of all MEP trades materials. With the help of ERMCO’s Construction Services department and their expertise in 3D modeling along with work assignments and prefab, ERMCO is overcoming the challenges of this project as we now head for the November completion date.
