Edward M. Gossett founded ERMCO in 1962 as a small service company called Electrical Repair and Maintenance Company. The company experienced rapid growth throughout the 60's. In 1970, ERMCO merged with Maddox Electric. That partnership lasted until Ed's death in 1996. In 1998, Darrell Gossett, Ed's oldest son, became President of the company. Today, ERMCO is still owned by the Gossett family, and many family members are involved in the daily operation of the company.
