HOW ERMCO IS INVOLVED

ACE Mentor Program

Founded in 2005 by 15 local architecture, engineering and construction firms, ACE's Indianapolis chapter undertake projects that engage our high school students in virtually every phase of the construction process. As project participants, students learn what industry professionals do to solve problems and how they perform the practical tasks involved in transforming an abstract concept into a building. The result is a "real-world" window into the industry and its career potential.

ERMCO is an ACE scholarship sponsor for 2008.

Rebuilding Together

Rebuilding Together Indianapolis provides assistance to people who own their own home but who, because of physical limitation or low income, are struggling to cover the costs of home repair. Typically, these individuals have a disability and/or are elderly, but low-income families and non-profit facilities such as schools, shelters and daycare centers are also included.

After months of planning and preparation, Rebuilding Together Indianapolis culminates in a one-day work blitz on the last Saturday in April. This year, the workday was held on April 26, 2008. ERMCO, Inc. was a Block sponsors for this year's event and had teams working on two different houses. This year's event marked the 200th house that Rebuilding Together has helped to revitalize. We truly enjoy being involved in such a great event year after year and look forward to doing the same in the future.

ERMCO Assists Minority Contractors

ERMCO, Inc. has been known for many years as a leader in the area of promoting and nurturing MBE/WBE contractors and suppliers in the area of electrical construction. An example of this commitment is demonstrated through the New Indianapolis Airport project.
