Special Message about safety and ERMCO from Darrell Gossett, President As you know, ERMCO has for quite some time been formally promoting the Zero Injury Process and has been touting our safety record as being among the elite in the industry. Our last previous accident occurred in May, 2008. During that time our employees worked nearly 1.8 Million Hours without a lost work day! This message is to let you know that one of our employees had an accident on November 30th resulting in our first lost-day accident in over 2 ½ years. We are thankful to report that he has been released and has returned to work. While it is unfortunate that the accident occurred, I am extremely proud of our employees, including the craftsman involved in this incident, for their diligence over the last 2 ½ years and for the record that we’ve set. Everyone on the ERMCO team is dedicated to a culture of Zero Injuries and we will remain so as we move forward. Our challenge is to continue working purposefully to build on our culture of safety and to work towards making it not only an ERMCO focus, but to spread it to our fellow workers and other contractors on our jobsites and, ultimately, throughout our industry. Everyone on the ERMCO team has readily accepted this challenge and will carry our message forward on every job with every craftsperson, every hour that they at work and will carry it into their personal lives as well. The benchmarks of 1.8 Million hours and 2 ½ years without a lost work day are a good start and are to be celebrated. We now know that the new benchmarks of starting over towards 2 million hours without a lost work-day and 4 million hours with only one lost-day accident are attainable. I have challenged all of our employees to strive to reach these goals. I ask everyone reading this message to help us in this quest. Thanks to each of you for your role in making ERMCO one of the safest contractors in our industry. Sincerely, |

ERMCO and its employees are dedicated to creating a culture of safety and achieving a goal of zero injury on every project. |
