ERMCO Hall of Fame Honors Employees’ Enduring Contributions

February 5, 2018

Established in 2012 as a part of our 50-Year Celebration, the ERMCO Hall of Fame recognizes company founders and those following them who have continued to build and nurture the culture that sets us apart. For our 55th Anniversary, seven former ERMCO employees will be honored as the newest members.

DARRELL GOSSETT was the eldest son of ERMCO’s founder Edward M Gossett and grew up as part of the ERMCO family. He was a 47-year ERMCO veteran, starting as a warehouseman in high school and advancing through nearly every position in the company, moving to President in 1998 and to Chairman in 2015.

JIM BEWSEY led the Service and Small Projects department for many of his 26 years with ERMCO. He was a Master Electrician, a graduate of the IEJATC Apprenticeship Program and part of the construction industry for over 40 years. Jim was known for being fun-loving and for building good customer relationships, including a long-term relationship with the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

GARY DIAL served as a General Foreman and was an important part of the growing Medium Voltage group. In his 25 years with ERMCO, he worked on projects for the Indianapolis Colts, Victory Field and the Indiana State Capitol Building. Gary was a graduate of the IEJATC Apprenticeship Program and a member of IBEW Local 481.

SCOTT DONOVAN started in purchasing and over the following 34 years ended up having a role in almost every ERMCO department, including project management and business development. He was family-oriented and kind-hearted as well as being a Master Electrician and having the canny ability to tell you at any given time what the current copper prices were.

MIKE FARLEY started as an apprentice in 1987, spent his entire apprenticeship with ERMCO, and didn’t leave until 30 years later when he retired. Mike was a General Foreman, a graduate of the IEJATC Apprenticeship Program and worked on many projects for Methodist, Wishard and Riley Hospitals.

GREG HOFFMAN was a Project Manager when he retired from ERMCO after 25 years of service. Prior to that, he served in several roles ranging from project engineer to estimator to Director of Field Operations. Greg was an IEJATC Apprenticeship Program graduate and worked on several projects that you’d recognize around the Indy area like the Indianapolis Zoo and the Carmel Performing Arts Center and a few projects outside of Indiana like the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

JIM TSAREFF was an ERMCO employee for 41 years. He started as an apprentice and advanced within the company to become the Senior Vice President of Construction Operations. Jim continues to serve ERMCO as a member of our Board of Directors.

All Hall of Fame members were ERMCO employees for 20 years or more and left the company in good standing. The honorees were chosen by a peer group of current employees, each with a minimum of 20 years of service. The qualities sought in Hall of Fame members include:

  • Respect for and from fellow employees

  • Loyalty to the company and management team

  • Support of ERMCO’s community spirit

  • Display high regard for ERMCO externally and internally
